Founded in 1946, at the end of World War II, the San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club is a social club for those interested in amateur radio.
Our members comprise a wide range of backgrounds and professions, ranging from scientists, doctors and engineers to business owners, teachers, electricians, plumbers, computer geeks, students and retirees. Whatever our backgrounds, our passion for Amateur Radio brings us together.
Whether it’s working that rare DX contact, the rush of contesting, or providing communications support for races, parade and emergency service providers, there are many ways to enjoy and make use of our involvement in Amateur Radio.
We have one simple philosophy: help others, and have fun doing it.
